Tours & Activities
For all tours and activities in the region, Daintree Riverview Reception offers objective advice, tourist information and full booking facilities at the best prices.
Daintree Village and surrounds
- Bird watching cruises: The Daintree River is rich with bird life and other wildlife. Enjoy an early morning or sunset bird watching and photography cruise. With fewer than a dozen passengers, the cruises are personalised and the smaller boats can take you up the narrower tributaries to the River. Also ask about the exciting croc spotlighting night cruises.
- River cruises: The renowned crocodile-spotting river cruises run throughout the day. Make sure you see us about a special pass which allows each passenger – for the price of one ticket – to enjoy multiple cruises from either of two departure points.
- Fishing trips: Half-day or full-day fishing charters on the Daintree River or out to sea. These fishing trips are very popular so, to avoid disappointment, it is strongly recommended you advise us of your potential interest at the time of booking your accommodation.
- Hook-a-Barra: Experience the excitement of catching your own Barramundi. Family friendly.
- Horse riding: Enjoy a relaxing horse ride through pristine rainforest and/or along the beach.
Cape Tribulation
Let us help you plan an action-filled day or two to Cape Tribulation. We provide you with a detailed map showing the various activities you might like to experience, including:
- Great Barrier Reef tours: The fast, direct way to the reef taking just 25 minutes from Cape Tribulation so you get more time snorkelling in the water exploring the amazing coral and marine life. (We can also give you advice and book you on snorkelling, glass-bottom boat and diving tours of the Reef leaving from Port Douglas.)
- Discovery Centre: Aerial walkways through the rainforest and a canopy tower taking you above the forest. Make sure you ask us for a 10% discount voucher to the Discovery Centre.
- Horse riding: Enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the world’s oldest living rainforest, ride through crystal clear mountain streams and along the beach. Suitable for riders of all levels.
- Sea kayaking: A most exciting way to see Cape Tribulation and the Daintree coast.
